Introduction

'FishEyeProject – Underwater Adventure Series in South East Asia’

Fish Eye Pte Ltd is a company based in Singapore. Their aim is to produce the first underwater adventure series documentary of South East Asia. In order to do this Fish Eye is taking divers to a variety of locations to discover, explore and record important to unknown wrecks and caves in South East Asia on a filming journey called ‘FishEyeProject – Underwater Adventure Series in South East Asia’.

The first series of expeditions will produce a series of six documentaries.

The project is divided into three phases
1. The East Coast Malaysia Sector
2. The West Kalimantan Sector and
3. The Southern Java Sector

Fish Eye has also recruited a team of highly trained divers and experts to lead the expeditions. This is to ensure that the high standards and professional quality of the planned expeditions and documentaries are maintained. All documentaries will have a different approach to their subject matter. However in most programs the content will cover the element of History, Science, Biology, Ecology, Adventure and Mystery.

The planned programs will have about the same structure:
• Why are we going to dive on this wreck or in this cave?
• What makes this subject so interesting, for both the divers and for our audience?
• What do the divers think to their objectives are? How do they intend to achieve these objectives?
• History and / or interviews and historic materials
• Preparation and research
• The team, their preparation and life on board the vessel
• Diving
• Results, evaluation
 
 
 

 

 
   
M V Mata Ikan Diving will be done from Fish Eye’s own fully equipped exploration vessel M V Mata Ikan and Mata Ikan II. The vessel is 23 meters and 28 metres long respectively. It has a crew of 5 and will sleep 12 expedition members.

Program will be shot on Betacam SP or miniDV.

Final production will be delivered on Betacam SP tape or Digital.
